FIXED BRACES

Fixed braces are a commonly used appliance which offer precise control over tooth movement to achieve high quality results.

There are many different kinds of fixed braces available but they all essentially perform the same function and can be Metallic or Tooth Coloured.

A fixed appliance or fixed brace is bonded or temporarily glued to your teeth to allow 3D control of tooth movement. Brackets are attached to each tooth and a wire is held onto the bracket with a small tie (metal or elastic).

Occasionally we may ask you to wear “elastics” to help your teeth move and should only be worn as instructed.
