EDUCATION

I studied Dentistry at the ‘University of Newcastle’, graduating in 2008, I then went on to complete my vocational training in the London scheme and worked in a number of leading teaching hospitals in London as a junior doctor providing specialist Paediatric, Oral Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial surgical care. These posts allowed me to go on to specialise in Orthodontics where I was privileged to undertake my speciality registrar training at the ‘Eastman Dental Institute’, London. Alongside my clinical training I undertook research into craniofacial bone tissue engineering as part of my Masters in Clinical Dentistry (2013), later gaining my Membership in Orthodontics and subsequently entry onto the GDC Specialist register in 2014.

I went on to obtain my Fellowship in Orthodontics with the ‘Royal College of Surgeons of England’ in 2016 after completing further training at the world renowned ‘Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge’ and ‘Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital’, London where I gained experience in treating patients requiring multidisciplinary care for the management of facial deformity (Orthognathic surgery), Hypodontia (missing teeth) and Cleft Lip and Palate. I have also been involved in the teaching and training of Post-Graduate students and Orthodontic Therapists, and continue to be actively involved with teaching at a local and regional level.
